Privacy policy

The BFT Editorial Platform is a private workspace for the Bahrain Financial Tribune newsroom. It is built and run for BFT by SI DevWorks (SI Enterprise Labs). Only people with an account created by a BFT administrator can use it.

What we hold

Google sign-in, Gmail and Google Drive

If you choose to sign in with Google or connect your Google account, the platform asks only for what it needs:

Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used only when you, or someone your administrator has cleared, imports from that account. Only the content you choose to import is copied into the platform. You can disconnect at any time from My account, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings.

The platform's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train general AI models.

Who processes data

Data is stored with Google Cloud (Firebase) and the platform runs on Vercel. Text you send to the AI tools is processed by the AI providers the platform uses to write and translate content. Posts you schedule are sent to the social networks you choose.

Keeping and deleting data

Data is kept while BFT uses the platform. An administrator can delete your account; disconnecting Google removes the stored tokens straight away. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email sary@sienterpriselabs.com.
